A fresh pad brings your paint edging tool back into shape. The pad absorbs the paint and guides it along the line. After a few projects, or after painting rough surfaces, the fibres get flattened and the edge loses precision. A new set of pads gives you clean lines again.

When to replace?

When the fibres are matted or holding on to paint
When your lines are getting messier than usual
As a rule of thumb, after 2–3 rooms; sooner on textured plaster and rough walls

Changing

Peel the old pad off the hook-and-loop backing, press the new one on, and carry on painting straight away. No additional tools are needed.
